We facilitate training right here in Alberta
Wherever you are, you are welcome to join us for class over Zoom. Cohort number 1 starts September 24th, 2025. Jennifer Holmes will be our facilitator.
What you will receive
When you sign up for class you receive 30 hours of instruction taught by Jennifer (Masters in Biblical Counseling and PhD Student). If you choose the certification track, you will receive a one year certification and membership with ABC. You will also meet with a fellow student ten times for mutual study.

When will the meetings be?
All meetings will be over Zoom on Wednesday nights from 7pm to 9pm MST. Starting September 24th, 2025 to May 6th, 2026, we will meet every other Wednesday with a long break in December/Jan. You will be responsible to set up ten meetings with your partner at a mutually convenient time over the course of the school year.
What do class times look like?
Each class we will review the homework from the text book and focus on one topic. Topics include listening skills, trauma, building a culture of care, knowing your limits, and more. We will have a combination of teaching, class discussion, case studies, videos, and Q&A.
Will there be tests?
You can choose to take the class one of two different ways. If you would like certification with ABC, there will be some tests and open book exams. If you would like to simply audit the class, you don’t need to do the tests.
What is the cost?
If you are choosing the certification track, the cost is $1200 and includes class time, certification, and one year of membership with ABC. If you are auditing the class, the cost is $600. If you would like certification and you are in full-time ministry the cost is discounted to $1000.
All students are also responsible for buying their textbook before the beginning of the first class and two books available on Amazon during the course of the class.
